Clearway High School

Clearway High School was established by the Adult Learning Center in 1977 as an alternative high school program for teenagers who need a specialized setting to successfully earn a high school diploma or equivalency diploma (HiSET®).

Who We Serve

Clearway’s mission is to educate teenagers so that they learn to function effectively as adults. We do this by helping them improve their academic and work skills, their decision-making skills, and daily life skills.

What We Offer

Clearway offers an emotionally supportive educational environment that encourages students to discover success in a range of ways:

Program Highlights

Clearway’s capacity is approximately seventy students, including eighteen who receive special education services.

Classes are held Monday through Friday from 8:18 AM to 2:08 PM at 40 Arlington Street in Nashua. We generally follow the Nashua Public School calendar.

Clearway is approved by the New Hampshire Department of Education for the education of both identified and non-identified students.

How to Enroll

Students must be referred by their school district and must be interviewed and accepted by Clearway’s Director. Enrollment is monthly. Students who have been identified by their home school district as having special educational needs must be referred by the Special Education Office in their school district. They should contact that office to discuss a referral.

Cost

Tuition is approved by the NH Department of Education and is paid by the sending school district.
